UMO Ensemble's PlayWrite
An Interactive Assembly using Writing and Improvisation

UMO's newest educational program, PlayWrite, incorporates young people's writings into creative theater, putting their imaginations on stage.

Designed to show young people the power of the written word through performance, PlayWrite gives students new, challenging ways to generate writings and performs their work on stage in front of their eyes!

Your school receives UMO's original writing exercises which students and teachers complete. Then, UMO arrives at your school and uses your students' work as the "script" for their assembly performance.

Adept at physical improvisation, UMO Ensemble incorporates themes and ideas generated by students into intricate and meaningful theatrical images. UMO incorporates classroom visits after they perform and gives students a change to get up and participate! Humorous, active and poignant, students get to witness themselves, their peers, and their learning environment through a safe, exciting and larger than life medium: theater!

UMO will be near your school soon! For more information, or to receive a sample introductory package contact us today! Bring your school the unique creative spark that has ignited the imaginations of thousands of students across the country!

"We were very impressed... UMO's use of Writing and Improvisation allowed for 'hands-on' learning... Welcoming and inviting! When the room is so quiet you can hear a pin drop, you know the kids are paying attention."
--Karen Marchesini, Community Liaison, Spanaway Elementary, WA

"I learned a lot from you... that it is good to express yourself."
--Stephanie Fretz, age 11
